How to Play
Gosloto 6x45 draws take place at 11:00 and 23:00 Moscow Standard Time (MSK), which is equivalent to 10:00 and 22:00 in South Africa. The cut-off time for ticket sales is 20 minutes before the draw, at 10:40 or 22:40 MSK. To play, you have to pick at least six numbers from 1 to 45. If all six of the numbers you pick match the winning numbers, the jackpot is yours.
You can also boost your chances of winning by selecting more than six numbers. If you pick seven, for example, every combination of six numbers within your chosen set will be entered into the draw. It costs 100 rubles per entry and the cost increases proportionally as you enter more combinations. In Russia, you can play by visiting lottery retailers, online or via SMS.
Playing from South Africa
Gosloto 6x45 has become popular around the world and you do not have to be based in Russia to enjoy the game or win prizes. You can play from South Africa by following these steps:
- Find an online lottery provider that allows you to play Gosloto 6x45.
- Pick six or more numbers between 1 and 45.
- Play as many boards as you like.
- Choose how many draws you want to enter.
- Pay for your entries.
Prizes and Odds of Winning
To win a prize, you must match at least two numbers. The more numbers you match, the greater the reward. The minimum jackpot is 10 million rubles (roughly R2.2 million) and it grows every time it is not won, with regular rollovers sometimes leading to nine-figure prizes.
A fixed prize of 100 rubles is given to all Match 2 winners, and a percentage of the remaining prize pool is then allocated to each of the other four divisions. The prize pool consists of 50 percent of the money raised from ticket sales, with the rest of the revenue used to help develop national sports and community projects.
The table below shows all the different prize divisions, along with the odds of winning:
Prize Division | Numbers Matched | Odds of Winning | Percentage of Prize Pool |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 6 | 1 in 8,145,060 | 58% |

3 | 4 | 1 in 733 | 8% |
